Sand Dollars

The round shape is symbolic of God or the infinite. It has no beginning and no end. If one is cracked open 5 bits of shell that resemble doves of peace are released. Call by many names, the Jewish people call it the Shalom shell or the Chanukah shell. It symbolizes their freedom from the Greeks and the redemption of the Temple. Followers of the Christian faith sometimes refer to it as the Holy Ghost shell. Wherever there is love and peace surely there is a higher power that had a hand in it.

Old Charleston Hugo Slate Shingles

These shingles are from historic Charleston homes that date back as far as 100 to 250 years ago. The shingles are supplied to Drucker as a result of a major disaster that hit South Carolina’s coast in September of 1989, Hurricane Hugo. When Hugo struck Charleston, it left many of the Holy City’s historic, monumental buildings in ruins, causing a need for many reconstructive jobs to be done in order to get the city back to the charming, welcoming place its known to be.
